Hanwha Kim Kang-min expresses gratitude to his former team’s fans

would like to say I am very grateful to the (SK Wyverns and SSG Landers) fans. “I can give generously in response to questions (asked by junior players).”

Kim Kang-min, who is making a new start for the Hanwha Eagles, expressed his gratitude to the fans of his former team and promised to show the dignity of a veteran.

Kim Kang-min, who was called by SK (now SSG) as the 18th overall player in the second round in 2001, played only for SSG until last season. With not only a stable defense, but also quick feet and sharp hitting ability, he contributed greatly to SK and SSG's reign as strong teams in the league. His career records include a batting average of 0.274 (1,470 hits in 5,364 at-bats), 138 home runs, 674 RBI, and 209 stolen bases in 1,919 appearances.

Kim Kang-min made his first transfer in baseball through the second draft held in November of last year. He was nominated by Hanwha, which was looking at veterans for the opportunity to be additionally nominated in the 4th round.

Kim Kang-min, who will be wearing the number 9 instead of the number 0, which has been his symbol, met with reporters at Incheon International Airport and shared his thoughts before leaving for Melbourne, Australia, where Hanwha's first spring camp is held on the 30th. Meanwhile, the Hanwha team, including Kim Kang-min, plans to hold the first camp in Melbourne, Australia until the 20th of next month and then move to Okinawa, Japan for the second camp, which will focus on practice games.
