Using the 'Man of Tenacity', the road to return to MLB has been opened.

The path to Yoshitomo Tsutsugo's return to the big league has been opened.

John Heyman of the New York Post announced on the 9th (Korean time) that the San Francisco Giants signed a contract with Tsutsugo.

It is unknown whether he signed a major league contract or a minor league contract, but MLBTR reported that the minor league contract likely included an invitation to spring training.

Tsutsugo received ‘love calls’ from Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) clubs this year, but he rejected them and aimed to return to the big league.

He signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers, but when he was not promoted, he played for Statin Island in the independent American league.

He subsequently signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants and played in Double-A and Triple-A.

Tsutsugo appeared in 68 minor league games, recording a batting average of .260, 10 home runs, and an OPS of .858, but was never called up to the big league.

However, Tsutsugo decided not to return to Japan and try to enter the big league again.

Prior to this, at the GM meeting held in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA, San Francisco President Zaidi said that a contract with Tsutsugo to be invited to spring camp is in the process.
