A memorial museum will be built in NBA star LeBron James' hometown.

A museum commemorating LeBron James (LA Lakers), who is considered the best active NBA player, will be built in his hometown on the 25th (local time).

American media reported that the museum being built in James' hometown of Acorn, Ohio, USA, contains various items themed around James' growth process.

The museum was created in a renovated apartment where James grew up as a child.

The white suit worn during the 2003 NBA draft and the basketball backboard and rim used in high school are on display.

James, who turns 39 in December, has won four championship rings and is the NBA's all-time leading scorer in the regular league.
